Renee I and enjoyed another summer of motorhome adventures. Isn’t it
great to be able to travel this wonderful country in your own home?
I know when we purchased our first American Coach after a day
of exploration I would say, “Let’s head back to the RV”. Lately I’ve
noticed I don’t say that anymore. Now its “Let’s head home”.
Sometimes I think we forget how fortunate we all are to be able to
tour places we have wanted to visit since childhood in such a
magnificent HOME.
The Southeast Chapter is looking forward to another year of rallies
and fun. Our annual Holiday rally will be held again in Sarasota at
the Fun N Sun RV Park on December 4th – 7th.
This rally is always one of my favorites. A sit down prime rib
dinner with a gift exchange and coach decorating contest are just a
few of the features that make it special. Gary and Linda Mau along
with Gary and Cortney Webb will be hosting it this year, so you know
it will be a good one. On January 15th – 18th
is our Lazydays rally. We have this in conjunction with one of the
largest RV shows in the country, “The 2009 RV Supershow” at the
close by state fairgrounds. Renee
and I along with Doug and Janice Thomson will be hosting it this
year. Vic and Joanne Schneider are hosting a rally in February at
Flagler Beach. As soon as we have the dates firmed up we’ll let you
know. Watch for updates on the SEACA website (http://www.southeastaca.org/)
. Even if you are not a Southeast Chapter member and you are in the
southeast area during the time we are having one of our rallies and
you would like to join us, give me a call. Of course the Southeast
members have priority, but if there is room we’d love to have you
join us.
Just a few reminders to our members: When you renew your membership
in January, please fill out a membership renewal form with your
latest address, email address and phone numbers.
We are sending out
more and more last minute notices via email and we are noticing many
of your email address are out of date or missing and several of our
newsletters are being returned. If you need to update your info
before then, contact our membership chairperson, Janice Thompson
jan@southeastaca.org.
Also our annual elections for chapter officers are in January at the
Lazdays Rally. Please step up to the plate and help us keep this
chapter alive by volunteering. A very small number of your fellow
chapter members are doing almost all the work. If we share some of
these responsibilities, it will make the tasks much more enjoyable.
We also need volunteers to host future rallies. Contact Joyce
Bennett, our Rally Chairperson with ideas for future rallies and to
pitch in and help host an upcoming rally. Email her at:
