President's Message

The Chapter had
a great General Membership meeting and rally at Lazy Days Rally Park.
I want to thank Dan and Renee’, even though she was ill and not able
to attend, for putting together such a great rally and a great time.
We had 70 attending coaches and the food was very good and the
entertainment was “New and exceptional”. Doty and I personally
very much enjoyed the new line-up Lazy Days presented this rally.
We elected a new set of officers, and they are really energized.
Justin, with
American Coach came to the general membership meeting and updated
everyone on the status of the new company and where they are in
manufacture and delivery of the new coaches. I am not going to
try to para-phrase him, but can tell you everything they had planned
is on schedule or ahead of schedule. New coaches are rolling
down the assembly line and out to the dealers. There are a
couple of brand new floor plans that we saw and they look very nice.
Much thanks to Lazy Days and American Coach for sending techs to
this rally, it was very much appreciated.
We are planning
a rally in May 12th-15th, at a placeTBD, with
activities in
Savannah,
GA. Joyce Bennett has arranged this as
her last duty before retiring as Rally Chairperson but she and Chet
are still going to be involved as she is from Savannah and knows the area
well. Please try to fit this into your schedule. We are
trying to arrange it so it will be on your way back home or out to Wyoming, for the National Rally. Some
of the activities will be, if possible, lunch or dinner at Paula
Dean’s and a tour of the historic
Savannah. More information will be included
in the Newsletter on this rally.
We have a pre-rally planned for the National
Rally to be held in Gillette, WY May 27-June1st, 2010.
Our pre-rally will (tentatively) be in Rapid City, SD
at the Rafter J Bar Ranch Camping Resort on May 24th-26th
. We need a rally host for this rally, so if you would like to
get involved, step up and enjoy the fun. We also need a place
for a pre-rally for the Las Vegas National rally in October 11-15th
2010. If you know of a place or would like to host this rally,
please get in touch with Wendy Gaynor or me. Wendy, our new
Rally Chairperson, is working on new places for this year’s rallies.
We are going to try to do some theme rallies this year, i.e. Air
shows, racing, festivals, etc. If anyone knows of a theme that
would be of interest to the membership, please email, call or Skype
me. Anyone with any idea of a place for a rally or a reason
for a rally, please let me know.
